Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for purchasing MAXBY products. Due to the specific nature of our products (data storage media), please read the following terms carefully before initiating a return.

1. Return Eligibility (Return Window)

  • For Consumers:You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return your item for a refund of the purchase price if you are unsatisfied. Returned items must be unopened, in new condition, and in the original packaging.
  • Note:This policy does not affect your rights under applicable laws regarding cooling-off periods or returns for dissatisfaction.

2. Non-Returnable Conditions

Due to the nature of SSDs and storage devices as precision electronic components and data privacy concerns, returns will not be accepted under the following circumstances:

  • Opened or Used:The tamper-evident seal or anti-static bag has been broken, or the product has been powered on/used (except for minimal opening necessary to inspect the physical condition).
  • Label Removal or Tampering:If the product label, serial number sticker, or batch information sticker has been removed, damaged, or tampered with, the product will not be eligible for return, refund, exchange, or warranty service, as product identification and traceability cannot be verified.
  • Physical Damage:Scratches, dents, damaged PCB, broken interface, or damage caused by improper installation.
  • Data Recovery is Not Covered:The return process does not include data recovery services. Please ensure you have backed up all data before returning the product. We are not responsible for any data loss.
  • Accessories & Gifts:Failure to return all included accessories (e.g., USB cables, screwdrivers, heat sinks, manuals) or promotional gifts may result in a deduction from the refund or refusal of the return.

3. Return Process

  1. Request Authorization:Contact our customer support at support@maxby.global with your order number, reason for return, and a photo of the product’s serial number.
  2. Obtain RMA:After our team reviews and approves your request, we will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and the return shipping address.
  3. Proper Packaging:Place the product back in its original packaging, ensuring the serial number label is clearly visible. Returns damaged in transit due to improper packaging will not be refunded.
  4. Ship Back & Refund:Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

4. Refunds & Exchanges

  • Refunds:Refunds are limited to the product purchase price. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
  • Defective Items (DOA):If you receive a defective product, we offer exchanges. Exchange requests must be made within 14 days of receipt.

5. Address Changes & Refusals

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by the buyer, refunds will be processed minus any shipping and handling fees incurred.
